What is the philosophy behind your teaching?

  • To promote student understanding of scientific concepts relevant to the person and to society; to foster an appreciation of scientific inquiry, hands-on learning, and critical thinking. I subscribe to the constructivist philosophy of education which states, “Learners are not passive in constructing their own education, but are an active part of the learning process as they build upon previous learning experiences.”    


What is your favorite subject (or part of your subject) and why?  

  • I do not have a favorite subject. I love English, math, science, and many other topics


What is your desire for students, both academically and personally?

  • I desire that my students can be informed, caring, and conscientious world-citizens
