What is the philosophy behind your teaching?
- Students are interactive learners and so I believe teaching should be an interactive process between students and teachers where both are actively engaged in the learning. Exploring, collaborating, creating, and growing together are all important parts of my teaching philosophy. I am passionate about teaching the whole child, which means caring not only about the academic, but the social and emotional needs of the child as well.
What is your favorite subject (or part of your subject) and why?
- I love reading aloud books to my students! Seeing my students’ love for reading grow, listening to how they predict a story will end, or discuss characters and plot are all my favorite things. But my absolute favorite part of my job is singing and dancing with my students every day!
What is your desire for students, both academically and personally?
- I desire for my students to be lifelong learners who continue to be curious as they discover more about themselves and the world around them. Most importantly I pray that they know how truly and deeply loved they are by their Creator.
