It’s always exciting to see our alumni pursue their dreams and thrive where they are planted. It’s been said that a school community is like a tree: we are connected by our roots yet are spread out in different directions like branches. Our next “Where Are They Now?” spotlight is on Ms.Victoria Manasavee Harper who has taken this adage to heart. Victoria attended ICSN (formerly known as GES) for ten years, from Grade 2 until graduating in 2018. She is now studying in Florida, USA at the nationally accredited and internationally recognized Phoenix East Aviation flight academy for pilot license training!

Victoria fondly recalls former music teacher Ms. Laura as a favorite teacher, so it should be no surprise that many of her fondest memories and moments at ICSN (formerly known as GES) revolve around the times spent in the music room with her friends. “I used to work on projects with a bunch of my friends’ help and listen to many groups of talented students play great music.”

Victoria believes that one of the greatest things she gained from her decade of learning at ICSN (formerly known as GES) is the great sense of responsibility her teachers instilled, which can be used in all facets of life. “Ms. Laura taught music to every ICSN (formerly known as GES) class (G1-12), that’s a very high workload for most days. However, since she always said music is her passion, she seemed to be happy with that. That is what I want for my life!” We are grateful for the teachers and staff at our school who teach beyond the textbook and truly invest in our students.

Victoria, we only wish you the best and love knowing how you’ve been so diligent and focused on achieving your dream of being a pilot. Looking forward to seeing you flying high up in the skies!
