The purpose of having blog posts about alumni is to engage the ICSN community — we really believe it would be great for current students (and alumni) to know more about what our graduates are up to in their lives now! Our second “Where Are They Now?” post is about Ms. Nattaya (Minnie) Thiraporn who studied at ICSN (formerly known as GES) from Nursery until graduating in 2014.
Minnie continued in her higher education at Thammasat University, pursuing a bachelor of journalism and mass media programming in its international program (B.JM). She chose to study in this field because of her passion for advertising, public relations, and the film industry. After graduating university, Minne began working at Unilever Thailand as a Sustainable Business Supervisor, which her roles involved leads development and execution of making sustainability commonplace in Thai people’s perspective. Working at Unilever has challenged her to grow in many ways, and she thoroughly enjoys how she is developing professionally and personality from these opportunities.

In remembering her extensive time at ICSN, she recalled her excitement for the school’s annual Christmas programs as she got to see the creative performances from every grade! And her favorite subject was music because she loved being a part of choir band, where middle and high school students could be in the same class together; it was really fun to be able to make new friends from different grades. “This is the subject that made me feel the most relaxed, like I could have fun, and could really relieve the stress from other subjects,” Minnie shared.
Minnie said because she studied at ICSN for so long, she has many favorite teachers from the years. One of her favorite teachers is Ms.Laura because she always put such great effort into everything she taught. Another favorite teacher is Mrs. Megan. “I used to feel a little scared of her. But as I grew up, I realized that she was strict with her students because she cared about us!” Former teachers Mr.Craig Tuggy and Mr.Chris McLatcher, her middle school math and science teachers, also made the list!
Minnie believes ICSN helped her to prepare quite a lot for her university and work life, providing a warm and caring environment that really helped her develop a positive mindset that shaped her to not fear any obstacles. As a part of the ICSN community, we wish you continued success in your career path!
