Our goals for our students (as seen in our SWLOs below) provide the foundation upon which we build our program of education. The four pillars, which enable us to reach these goals, are:

• Purposeful Content – We equip students with a rich academic foundation while fostering skills that prepare them for futures shaped by their unique interests, proclivities, and abilities.
• Responsive Instruction – We design learning to engage students of all backgrounds and abilities, ensuring accessibility and meaningful progress for all learners. We model the attitudes, behaviors, and values we seek to develop in them. 
• Diverse Resources & Opportunities for Expression – We provide students with a variety of learning materials, technologies, and opportunities to explore, create, and demonstrate their understanding in ways that align with their strengths.
• A Safe & Supportive Environment – We maintain structured yet flexible operations that ensure the school functions effectively while prioritizing student well-being, belonging, and growth.

Resilient
ICSN learners are persistent and confident. When challenged, they (1) persevere with a growth mindset, and (2) apply knowledge and skills resourcefully.

ICSN learners are empathetic, inclusive, and service-oriented. They (1) respect the feelings and needs of others and (2) take action to positively impact people’s lives.

ICSN learners are informed and reflective. They (1) have, and continue to pursue, understanding across disciplines, and (2) apply their learning in meaningful and authentic contexts.

ICSN learners are innovative and adaptable. They explore multiple pathways to (1) create thoughtful solutions, and to (2) express their ideas and interests.
