Potluck Fridays at ICSN
November 1, 15, and 26–Friday afternoons have become an hour of parent-teacher potlucks for kindergarten, elementary, and secondary school where students, parents, and teachers shared a meal and connected personally.

Strengthened connections over delicious food and conversations
Families brought some of their favorites, from mouth-watering dishes to sweet desserts. As an international school, the parent potlucks are also a cultural exchange through delicious food and traditions while getting to know the school community and environment.

Mr. Solomon Ektrakul, executive administrator, shares: “It was a great turnout. Over 100 parents and children attended the kindergarten and Elementary sessions. The parents met their children’s teachers and got to know each other.”
Although the parent-teacher potlucks were scheduled for just an hour, many families stayed on for more helpings of food over happy chatter and laughter.

A more supportive and engaging school environment
International Christian School Nonthaburi believes that fostering strong parent involvement and parent-teacher relationships can create a more supportive, engaging, and effective learning environment for all students. A connected school environment with open communication between parents and teachers increases morale and support strategies for students.

Thank you to all who participated in the parent-teacher potlucks!
ICSN thanks the school community: all the amazing parents, students, and teachers for their time and contributions to the parent-teacher potlucks. Everyone had such a great time enjoying the delicious spread of dishes and lively conversations. Indeed, this year’s parent potluck was a perfect moment that showcased the warmth, togetherness, and spirit of our ICSN family, and we hope to see more of them at the upcoming school events!
