ICSN Students Spread Christmas Cheer with Heartwarming Performances

International Christian School Nonthaburi (ICSN) annually celebrates the spirit of Christmas through a series of fun and heartwarming performances by its students from Nursery through Secondary school.

Being one of the Christian International schools with Christmas programs in Thailand, this tradition is in line with the very heart of the ICSN–to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ with its students and their families.

Students from all levels took to the stage to echo the season’s true meaning and spread joy through music, dance, and acting.

Jesus at the Center of Christmas Presentations

As a private, international school with a Christian education in Thailand, ICSN practices the faith by letting Jesus take center stage in the Christmas performances for the families. ICSN believes that students get to internalize the message of Christmas through the speeches and songs they perform.

The performances were divided into different themes:
Nursery to Kindergarten students: My Favorite Christmas
Grades 1-2: Rescuer
Grades 3-5: Game Changers
Secondary: Christmas Wishes

Student-Led Christmas Program

ICSN Secondary School has been doing Christmas presentations differently. Through ICSN’s band and choir program, secondary students from Grades 7 to 12 create their own Christmas concert. With this student-led initiative, students were responsible for planning their performances, choosing the theme and songs, and writing the script for their Christmas performances for their families.

Through a student-led Christmas program, ICSN provides a platform for the students to express their creativity, build their confidence, and develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and creative problem-solving while internalizing the true meaning of Christmas.

The unique thing about having the students help create the skits or songs for the program is that the content and style differ between each class, and the program changes every year. For example, Moo Deng was part of a few of the skits this year. The program is a snapshot of things students are interested in or entertained by. It also highlights the personalities of different classes, and it is an excellent opportunity for the homeroom classes to plan together and practice performing.

The presentation opened with head-turning guitar riffs as students showcased their musical talents on the theme of Christmas Wishes, followed by original skits with unexpected plot twists that sent the crowds laughing and cheering.
