The next addition of our “Where Are They Now?” series highlights another former student of ours who is now in the multimedia industry: Ms.Loma Ratawan Sittichot! Loma joined the ICSN family (formerly known as GES) in Grade 5 with Ms. Shaela as her homeroom teacher. She had always loved the creative arts and wanted to enter into that field as soon as possible, so she made the decision to pursue a GED after Grade 10 to apply for a spot in the fine arts faculty at Silpakorn University International College. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in digital communication design with first-class honors, she now owns an art school called Creative Lab. Creative Lab focuses on teaching kids drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media techniques to help encourage their use of imagination and develop their art skills.

Loma credits ICSN (formerly known as GES) as giving her the conversational and writing skills in English to accomplish university-level presentations and assignments (like her dissertation), as well as having an amazing experience at Birmingham City University during her UK exchange program through Silpakorn. She was confident that she could communicate and express herself in a personal and an academic manner in a foreign country.
She went on to share that one of her most memorable moments as ICSN was using trigonometry in her G9 Geometry class to calculate the height of the gym ceiling and make a huge swing. With a fun memory like that, it might not be a surprise that Mr. Craig, who teaches secondary math, is one of her favorite teachers, along with former art teacher Ms. Bekah. Loma also made it a point to say that Mr. Craig, Mr. Chris (former science teacher), Ms. Laura (former music teacher), Ms. Bekah, and Mrs. Leslie were influential in her journey to becoming a Christian. “I want to tell the current students that you might not understand it now, but God is good. The love, warmth and protection you feel at school is from Him. You will miss that when you graduate because it will feel different, but God is good and He is still with you.”
Thank you for sharing your story, Loma, and we wish you the best as you continue on with the next steps of your dreams. If you are interested in taking classes at Creative Lab you can contact Loma through IG instagram.com/lo.c.lab!
