VEX Robotics in Every Classroom at International Christian School Nonthaburi (ICSN)

VEX Robotics Continuum in Nonthaburi: Hands-on STEM Education at ICSN

Robotics is everywhere. It’s a big part of our world, from helping us with chores to working smarter, and it will only become more important. Introducing young children to robotics is a great way to give them a head start in STEM education, but the benefits go beyond that. It’s also about sparking their curiosity, thinking creatively, and teaching them how to solve problems while having fun.

Hands-On STEM Education in Every Classroom with VEX Robotics

Beyond offering after-school robotics programs, International Christian School Nonthaburi (ICSN) also teaches the VEX continuum in the classroom, equipping its students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

VEX Robotics provides students a cohesive, hands-on STEM learning experience from Grades 1 through 6. It supports ICSN’s learning goals with age-appropriate activities and projects where students actively learn and apply STEM concepts.

This exposure to robotics gives students a chance to explore technology, develop skills, and discover potential learning and STEM career paths.

How VEX Continuum Helps Meet Learning Goals

Grade 2

Grade 1

VEX 123

Students use their VEX 123 Robots to create basic sequential programs. They use magnetic coder cards to input instructions and get immediate results when they run the robot.

Grade 4

Grade 3

VEX GO

Students use the VEX GO kit to build simple robots. Among other projects, they can construct simple machines and test them to see how they work.

Grade 6

Grades 5

VEX IQ

Students engage in more open-ended building using VEX IQ, from building functioning claw bots to engaging in friendly classroom robotics competitions.

Beyond Robots: The Life-Changing Benefits of VEX Robotics at International Christian School Nonthaburi

At International Christian School Nonthaburi (ICSN), Robotics class is more than just building robots. The VEX curriculum provides an engaging educational experience that develops crucial academic, personal, and social skills in our elementary and high school students.

Deeper Learning: Robotics brings STEM concepts to life. Students don’t just learn about physics, engineering, and math—they experience them through hands-on projects and activities. They explore concepts like structural integrity and apply them to practical situations, resulting in deeper learning.

Personal Growth: Robotics empowers students to become creators and innovators. Students develop confidence when they build their robots and participate in competitions.
