Mrs. Rachel Meinburg

I believe in students taking as much ownership of their own learning as possible. I also believe all students can learn, and all students have greatness within them, and that it’s the teacher’s job to get to know their students well enough to help them reach their full potential.

Mr. Daniel Harris

I want my students to see that the world around them is incredibly complicated, and simple, and beautiful, and most importantly wonderfully made for us all.

Mr. Daniel Fisher

It is my goal to not only prepare students for a more advanced high school curriculum but to also equip them with the tools they need to be able to find and use any information that they desire.

Ms. Rebecca Van Meerbeke

I love reading aloud books to my students! Seeing my students’ love for reading grow, listening to how they predict a story will end, or discuss characters and plot are all my favorite things.

Mr. Garrett Kaufman

My classroom is modeled around using critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving strategies. We look at a variety of texts and materials in order to learn about an eclectic mixture of topics. Literacy development is the focus of my classes. We also practice writing and grammar so we can express our ideas clearly and confidently.

Mrs. Hannah Parmelee

I believe that a classroom should be a safe, welcoming environment where students feel free to speak their minds and ask questions. I want them to have a passion to learn more about the world around them. They should never get to the point where they stop learning or being curious.

Mr. Joshua Dezentje

To promote student understanding of scientific concepts relevant to the person and to society; to foster an appreciation of scientific inquiry, hands-on learning, and critical thinking. I subscribe to the constructivist philosophy of education which states, “Learners are not passive in constructing their own education, but are an active part of the learning process as they build upon previous learning experiences.”
