Elementary Homeroom Teacher
What is the philosophy behind your teaching?
- I believe that a classroom should be a safe, welcoming environment where students feel free to speak their minds and ask questions. I want them to have a passion to learn more about the world around them. They should never get to the point where they stop learning or being curious. I want them to not only be inspired to learn in the classroom but that their learning will extend beyond the classroom to become lifelong learners. I believe my role as a teacher is to teach them to never give up, to be diligent, and to guide them to become the best version of themselves. Personally, I want my students to have a desire to learn more about God and the world He has created around us. I want them to know how much they are loved and cared for not only by God, but also by their teacher.
What is your favorite subject (or part of your subject) and why?
- My favorite subject to teach is Science. I have really enjoyed getting to see how much my students love discovering all that God has created through hands-on learning. Their desire and excitement to learn have made it even more fun for me to teach. I love all of the fun, creative questions that I get to answer during Science class
