Ms. Satida Adsavakulchai (Dada)

Satida Adsavakulchai, affectionately known as Dada, graduated from International Christian School Nonthaburi (ICSN), formerly known as Global English School (GES), in the Class of 2018, where she had been enrolled since Kindergarten 3 in 2006. Currently an undergraduate student at Chulalongkorn University’s International Program in Design and Architecture (INDA), her journey through ICSN has significantly shaped her academic and personal development.

Among her fondest memories of ICSN are the vibrant Christmas program setups and events, particularly her involvement in music classes and performances during middle and high school. Reflecting on her favorite subjects, Dada highlights middle school sciences, art, and project management. She recalls a unique blend of art and sciences that encouraged creative research and experimentation, making learning both comprehensive and imaginative. Project management at ICSN provided her with diverse experiences, from organizing charity events and talent shows to managing large-scale stage setups, fostering skills in social and financial management.

Dada holds Mr. Chris and Ms. Laura in high regard as standout teachers. Mr. Chris’s engaging approach to teaching sciences transformed learning into captivating storytelling filled with knowledge, while Ms. Laura’s genuine care and kindness made her one of Dada’s most cherished mentors.

Outside of academics, Dada fondly remembers the camaraderie built while working on stage setups for events after school, often accompanied by late-night pizza gatherings with friends. Academically, ICSN’s rigorous curriculum prepared her well, evidenced by her impressive SAT and IELTS scores obtained during her tenth-grade year, achieved solely through school learning without additional tutoring.

At INDA, Dada finds herself drawn to architectural studio classes and courses on the philosophy and history of architecture. The open-ended nature of studio work, exploring techniques such as models, graphics, and motion media, aligns with her current interest in landscape design interventions.

Looking ahead, Dada plans to pursue graduate studies focusing on landscape architecture and philosophy. She sees architecture as a medium connecting philosophy and people, which intrigues her and informs her future aspirations, including potentially exploring art therapy.

ICSN is immensely proud of Satida Adsavakulchai’s accomplishments and the positive impact she continues to make through her academic pursuits and creative endeavors. Her journey from ICSN (formerly known as GES) to INDA exemplifies her dedication to excellence and her commitment to using architecture as a means of enriching lives and communities.
